My PhD research focuses on psychedelic drugs as a tool to investigate the cognitive mechanisms underlying changes in sustainable behavior. Once filled with a passion for all things molecular, my interests have morphed over time from chemistry and molecular biology, to psychopharmacology and human behavior. Having focused on addiction research during my neuroscience master’s, I’ve developed a strong interest in how various substances affect behavioral output. The more I have learned, the more curious I have become about why we make the decisions we do, and how we change our minds. More than ever, I am compelled to better understand how to promote behaviors and attitudes that can positively benefit the natural environment, and I hope to facilitate this understanding by bridging psychedelic research with environmental psychology.
