My name is Zain Gangaram a PhD candidate employed by two faculties, CPS, and NP&PP. I did my bachelor's in psychology at Tilburg University, and the Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience research master at Maastricht University.
My research is multifaceted and is based on an RDoC model for Reactive Aggression (RA). During my PhD trajectory I will be positioning RA onto an RDoC framework, by collecting neuropsychobehavioral data from a test battery I will develop. After that I will divide people who display RA into biotypes. I will then test a new biased 5-HT1A agonist named Befiradol NLX-112 on biotypes which will likely benefit the most The target group for this research is patients with PTSD and IED who display aggression. My supervisors for the PhD are Jill, Rudy, Arjan, and Robert-Jan (Radboud University).
